PAK-CANADA FRIENDSHIP MOUNTAINEERING EXPEDITION FOR JUNIOR.

 

Pak-Canada Friendship Mountaineering expedition is schedule to be held in Canad August 2011. during the expedtion Pakistan National team will also participate in Kayaking events with Canadian Kayak team, Mr. Khalil Ahmed Khan Representative CAAB / ACP (bb) in Canada is expedition coordinator.

Presidential Pride of Performance Award for Hayatullah Khan Durrani.

 

Pakistan's first Presidential Award in the Field of Cave Exploration and Mountaineering Sports.

 

The President Islamic Republic of Pakistan Conferred Presidential ‘Pride of Performance Award” on eve of 14th August Pakistan Independence-Day 2005 to Mr. Hayatullah Khan Durrani on account of his outstanding and excellent performance and tremendous Achievements in the Field of Caving and Mountain Adventure Sports in Pakistan and abroad. Mr. Hayatullah Khan Durrani is a renowned first Pakistani eminent Cave Explorer and Mountaineer of International repute and Founder of the Caving Adventure Sports in Pakistan. He hails from Quetta. Hayatullah Durrani started taking interest in caving and Mountaineering Adventure Sports at an early age by introducing the tradition of waving / hoisting National flag on mountains top on the occasions of 14th August 1984 as a team leader of CAAB. He achieved his first major Caving success in 1992 as a leader of Pakistan National Caving Team organised by Chiltan Adventures Association and Orpheus Caving Club United Kingdom. when he made the first international expedition jointly with the British National Caving Team Representative British Cave Research Association, of the initial exploration of Pir Ghaib Cave in Bolan Mountains  which proved  Pakistan’s longest Cave. In the years to follow he excelled in his Caving career and made his name synonymous with Caving Adventure Sports in Pakistan on international level. He made history by exploring Murgha Ghull Cave (Bats valley) in Harnai Balochistan largest single chamber and 2nd longest cave of Pakistan in 1997. He has in his credit the first most difficult initial exploration of Kach cave deep descending vertical cave of Pakistan in 1998. Hayatullah Durrani very rigorously has  pursued his Caving career and made exploration of  other caves in Pakistan  including various attempts on exploration of Kach Cave in 1999. Hayatullah Durrani achieved an’ other milestone of his career in 1999-2000 when he explored Pakistan’s Longest Stalagmite Stalactite cave in Harnai  and another cave in Kalat “natural decorated cave of Pakistan”. He has participated in caving & climbed various mountains in United Kingdom as leader of Pakistan National Caving team in company of world fame British Cavers Mr. Simon James Brooks and Boyd Potts in 1994-1999. As a first Pakistani he had the honor of hoisting national flag on the mountains of U.K.In recognition to his life long dedication to Caving sports (Speleology) & Mountain Adventure sports in Pakistan he is the first Pakistani honoured with Presidential Award for Pride of Performance. He is also the pioneer of Mountaineering, Rowing, /Sailing & Canoeing Sports in Balochistan, He is trend setter for the youth of Pakistan and under his leadership the youth of Balochistan had participated in many National and International events.   He is developing   sense of patriotism in youths since 1984 by celebrating every National event with great zeal and enthusiasm to summit different mountain in country and abroad by hoisting National flag on highest peaks. He lead successfully Pak-Iran Joint Mountaineering Squad by hoisting National flag at Looisar Naikaan heighest peak in Balochistan. He is First Pakistani successful Organizer and team leader of Pakistan’s longest Walk 110 Km Quetta to Ziarat as a Juniper defender.1988 & 2000. His tradition of hoisting national flag on mountains top has acquired a unique status in the country. On account of outstanding performance he has achieved many Gold Medals and “Man of the expedition award” in the discipline of caving and Mountaineering Sports on international level. 2002 International Year of Mountains Mr. Nazir Sabir the first Pakistani to Conquer Mount Everest awarded the sign of Alpine Clubof Pakistan to Hayatullah Durrani for promotion of Caving and Mountaineering Sports in the country. His dedication for the uplift of cave exploration Adventure sports has brought prominence for the country. As a first Pakistani and he has visited the “Shatter Cave” most beautiful cave in United Kingdom. In June 2004 Hayatullah Khan Durrani was selected as Chief by Alpine Club of Pakistan (Islamabad) and Chiltan Adventures Association Balochistan for expedition of K-2. He and his pupil (age 12 years) set up world record being a youngest boy of the world to reach K-2 base camp Through his courage, determination and dedication he led his team on 25th June for trekking expedition with  brave attempts from Ashkoley, by crossing two and three stages daily. A tolerant and patient but determined Hayatullah Durrani was deterred by the bad weather, strong and fast winds just 6500 meters short of the K-2 Base. Hayat Durrani, propelled by his obsession to fly Pakistan’s flag by a boy on K-2 Base, In spite of the perils of climbing at Glaciers and to avoid the strong winds, it was decided to continue trekking to the Base of K-2 through out the day. On 30th June 2004 at 1710 Hours , Hayat Durrani, Maherdil Babai and his other 14 members expedition team  reached the Base Camp of K-2 within stipulated time and they succeeded in unfurling Pakistan’s flag on this highest Base camp on the face of  earth for the first time by  twelve year old boy. In the end of this successful expedition five eminent mountaineers and well trained Cavers of his team Martyred in bus accident when they were returning home from Skardu to Rawalpindi, on the other hand tolerant but determined Hayatullah Durrani decided to keep continue the Noble mission of his Martyred colleagues.

The Government of Pakistan has Proclaimed 2003 as Year of Mother of Nation Muhtarma Fatima Jinnah Sister of founder of Pakistan Quaid Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah & announced internationally Golden Jubilee year of Nanga Parbat Mountains,

The Members of Chiltan Adventures Association Balochistan, Pakistan Cave Research Association and Alpine Club Pakistan Balochistan Branch Participated in Glacier training and Rakaposhi Climbing up to 19000 feet expedition  jointly with Alpine Club of Pakistan Islamabad on 09 August to 22 August 2003 also to celebrate 14th August Independence-day Cermonies and hoisting of Pak National Flag on 19000 feet,

In continuation of above programmes three Days Unity Faith & Discipline Snow Training Camp between Ziarat & Chuthair Valley (Sarrobai) supervised by Camp commandant Mr. Hayatullah Khan Durrani (Internationally renowned First Pakistani eminent Cave Explorer) founder CAAB / PCRA & Director Alpine Club of Pakistan Balochistan Branch was held under the auspicious of Chiltan Adventures Association Balochistan with the assistance of Pakistan, Custom Sports board Quetta & PCRA on 07th to 09th February, 2003, to mark the year of Mother of Nation Muhtarma Fatima Jinnah & internationally Golden Jubilee year of Nanga Parbat Mountains with great zeal & enthusiasm to create sense of patriotism and to prepare the participants confident to join the Golden Jubilee Expedition of Nanga Parbat Mountains (2003) Golden Jubilee expedition of K2 Mountains (2004) & fourth coming Glacier Training Camp June 2003 organized by Alpine Club of Pakistan (Isb) & also to bring awareness among the young generation for the protection of National heritage worlds second largest Juniper Forest in Ziarat Valley to Introduce the Mountains of Balochistan on International Level for the Promotion of Mountaineering sports & tourism.

Senior members of CAAB/PCRA Mountain Climbers / Snow Climbers and Cavers, Juniper Defenders participated in the above mentioned Snow Training Camp. Some junior members also participated in the few parts of Snow training camp along with each members of Pearl Adventure Club (Pearl Institute),Alpine Club Pakistan Balochistan Branch, GPEESO & Loralai Adventure Club Affiliated with CAAB.



Earlier three Days Unity Faith & Discipline Snow Training Camp at above same venue supervised by Mr. Hayatullah Khan Durrani was held under the auspicious of Chiltan Adventures Association Balochistan with the assistance of Pakistan, Custom Sports board Quetta & PCRA on 24th to 26th December, 2002, regarding celebrations of Quaid Day Founder of Pakistan Birth Anniversary with great zeal & enthusiasm to create since of patriotism and to prepare the participants confident to participate in the various Expedition & fourth coming Glacier Training Camp June 2003 organized by Alpine Club of Pakistan (Isb) & also to bring awareness among the young generation for the protection of National heritage worlds second largest Juniper Forest in Ziarat Valley to Introduce the Mountains of Balochistan on International Level for the Promotion of Mountain Tourism In connection with celebrations of final event of International Year of Mountains 2002 ceremonies.The above same participants participated

Many events and activities are being organized around the world for protection of the Natural Environment of Mountain Areas to celebrate International Year of Mountains,

Chiltan Adventures Association Balochistan & Pakistan Cave Research Association has organized International Year of Mountains 2002 events i.e. Seminar / Workshop on,

MOUNTAINS, CAVES, ECO TOURISM, PRESERVATION OF MOUNTAIN ENVIRONMENTS, MOUNTAIN, CAVING PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION / FILM SHOWS AND ROCK CLIMBING CLINIC AT QUETTA,ON 24TH-25TH -26TH MAY 2002,

with Alpine Club of Pakistan {Islamabad} as CAAB/PCRA, ACP, joint event/venture to promote mountaineering sports/skills & sprite of Preservation of mountain environments in the youth as well as to introduce the mountains of Balochistan on International level for Tourism Ideal for Climbing/Hiking/Trekking etc.

The 1st Phase in connection with celebrations of IYM 2002 events were held under the auspicious of(CAAB)/(PCRA)& adopted a unique way to celebrate the Pakistan Day & the world mountains year 2002.in the 1st Part of the expedition launched in the Ziarat Valley, 3days mountaineering camp was setup from March 22-24 senior & junior mountaineers participated in the camp during the 2nd Part National flag was hoisted by the mountaineers at the top of Chautair valley mountains in the morning of march 23rd. at the time of hoisting the participants expressed deeply to render every kind of sacrifices for the development, security & prosperity of the country & 15 kilometer walk from Chautair valley to Ziarat, was aimed to creating awareness about protection of Juniper forest, as well as introducing the mountain ranges of Ziarat Valley on international level for tourism purposes. The walk was Finished at Quaid-e-Azam Residency where the founder of the country had spent last Days of his life. On the occasion, members of the CAAB paid rich tributes to the president Gen; Parvez Musharaf of Pakistan for declaring the Jinnah residency as National heritage & taking necessary action for the protection of juniper forest'

The 2nd Phase of celebrations of International Year of Mountains 2002 events i.e. Seminar / Workshop on MOUNTAINS, CAVES, ECO TOURISM, PRESERVATION OF MOUNTAIN ENVIRONMENTS, MOUNTAIN, CAVING PHOTOGRIFIC / MOUNTAINEERING EQUIPTMENTS EXHIBITION / FILM SHOWS AND ROCK CLIMBING CLINIC IN QUETTA ON 24TH-25TH -26TH MAY 2002 as CAAB/PCRA, ACP, joint event to promote mountaineering sports/skills & sprit of Preservation of mountain environments & awareness for protection of Worlds 2nd Largest Juniper Forests in the youth as well as to introduce the mountains of Balochistan on International level for Tourism Ideal for Climbing/Hiking/Trekking/Camping etc, (Sponsored by Pakistan Customs Sports Board Quetta & Tourism Cell Govt: of Balochistan).

The opening Ceremony of the above mention 3 days programmes was inaugurated on 24th May by the Provincial Minister Sports, Social Welfare, Culture & information Technology Mrs. Roshan Khursheed Bharucha as Chief Guest in Quetta Serena Hotel. Malik Abdul Rahim Baabai (Chairman CAAB / PCRA) high light the Aims of above programmes & briefs the 17 yearly activities of CAAB /PCRA, Mr. Abdul Waheed Marwat Patrons Customs Sports Board, Mr. Yaqoob Shah Dy: Director Culture & Tourism Cell hail the programme & assured every possible assistance from their respective departments,Mr. Atta Mohammad Kakar (TI) BOA representative, Mr. Saad Tariq Siddiqi Chief Instructor Alpine Club of Pakistan, & Mr. Hayatullah Khan Durrani Internationally renowned Mountain Climber & first Pakistani eminent Cave Explorer & Founder of Cave Exploration Sports & Research Education in Pakistan. Expressed Views about the programmes, many Students / Teachers (Male / Female) participated in the Ceremony, they appreciated the programme specially the Film Shows about Mountaineering & Caving in Pakistan; PTDC Qta & Survey of Pakistan conducted their stalls, The Chief Guest Mrs. Roshan Khursheed Bharucha assured every possible assistance & appreciated the tremendous role of CAAB / PCRA for promoting Mountaineering / Caving Sports & holding excellent Seminar.

25th May One day Rock Climbing Clinic was inaugurated by Mr. Hayatullah Khan Durrani Executive Director programme CAAB / PCRA at Rock Climbing site of CAAB / PCRA in Murdar Mountain Range, Chief Instructors of Chiltan Adventures Association / Pakistan Cave Research Association Mr. Habibullah Durrani & Chief Instructor of Alpine Club Pakistan Mr. Saad Tariq Siddiqi Brief the participants about basic Rock Climbing with Charts & use of Climbing Equipments practically with the assistance of CAAB & ACP Rock Climbing instructors Mr. Jan Mohammad Durrani & MAH Muzafar Faizy Awan Followed by other experts of CAAB / PCRA, under the supervision of Malik Abdul Rahim Baabai Chairman CAAB / PCRA, 75 Students & Teachers from different School & Institutes along with CAAB / PCRA members participated in the Rock Climbing Clinic. Special Bar B-Q was served at the spot to all the officials & participants 2030hrs Clinic was closed.

26th May 1100hrs Malik Abdul Rahim Baabai Chairman inaugurated International Year of Mountains 2002 Seminar / Workshop on Mountains, Caves, Eco Tourism, Preservation of Mountains Environments, Mountain, Caving Photographs / Mountaineering Equipments Exhibition / Film Shows at Quetta Serena Hotel , hundreds of beautiful Posters / Excellent & Historical photographs of Mountains / Mountaineering & Caving based on CAAB / PCRA & ACP remarkable activities were placed in the Seminar to introduce the Mountains / Mountaineering & Caving Sports Research / Education in Pakistan & to create sense / Awareness about Eco Tourism, Preservation of Mountain Environments, hundreds of Students / Teachers & different Peoples Male / Female visited & appreciate the Photo / Posters Gallery in Seminar. PTDC Qta & Survey of Pakistan were also conducted their stalls.

1700hrs X- Governor Balochistan Brig: Retd, Sardar Abdul Rahim Durrani Chief Guest of 1st phase awarded the memorable Shields to the officials of Seminar Workshop. Malik Abdul Rahim Baabai Chairman CAAB / PCRA & Mr. Saad Tariq Siddiqi Chief Instructor ACP presented memorable Shields & Books on behalf of their respective federations to the Chief Guest Sardar Abdul Rahim Durrani.

1800hrs Mr. Nazir Sabir first Pakistani Internationally renowned Mount Everest Climber Chief Guest of the 2nd phase of the ceremony awarded certificates of participation to all the participants of Rock Climbing Clinic, Malik Abdul Rahim Baabai Chairman CAAB / PCRA Mr. Hayatullah Khan Durrani Internationally renowned first Pakistani eminent Cave Explorer, Mr. Atta Mohammad Kakar (TI) representative BOA Expressed Views about the programmes, they welcome the arrival of Mr. Nazir Sabir to Balochistan & hoped that Chiltan " Alpine joint programmes / expeditions will promote Mountaineering Sports in Pakistan specially the Mountaineers of Balochistan will be awarded joint training / accent on the high Mountains in Northern areas, beside other activities Mr. Hayatullah Khan Durrani also highlight the Pak-UK joint mountaineering Cave exploration sports research education, cultural/friendship activities/expeditions held between CAAB/PCRA (Pak) & Orpheus C.C (UK) w.e.f. 1990 to 2002 he also appreciated the brilliant roll of Mr. Simon James Brooks for promotion of Pak-UK friendship/cultural & caving sports activities.
Mr.Nazir Sabir awarded the remarkable sign of ACP to Mr.Hayatullah Khan Durrani Mr.Saad Tariq Siddiqi Presented ACP/CAAB affiliation certificate to Malik Abdul Rahim Baabai Chairman & Memorable Shield of ACP to Mr.Hayatullah Khan Durrani, Mr. Nazir Sabir presented the Excellent Slide Show about Mountains & Mountaineering.
Mr. Nazir Sabir also exhibited first time in Pakistan his Film Show "To the Ends of Himalayas" on account of his Climb to Everest top, & Documentary Film of Mr. Hayatullah Khan Durrani"Caves in Balochistan"(Ptv productions) based on Pak-UK & Internal activities of CAAB/PCRA were also exhibited the Viewers appreciated the wonderful & tremendous Film Shows & hail the brilliant activities of ACP & CAAB / PCRA. Mr. Nazir Sabir express his Views about Mountaineering & Mountains Tourism Nationally & Internationally he appreciated the tremendous role of Mr. Hayatullah Khan Durrani in the field of Caving Sports & hail the healthy activities of CAAB / PCRA for promotion of Mountaineering /Caving Sports & struggle / Awareness for the protection of worlds 2nd largest Juniper Forests in Ziarat, all the participants of Seminar Workshop appreciated the programme specially the Film Shows. Refreshments were served to all the participants in the end of the session.

2200hrs Cultural & Musical night a Dinner was honored in fevour of Mr. Nazir Sabir, at "Baabai House" host by M-A, Rahim Baabai Chairman CAAB / PCRA, Mr. Hayatullah Durrani, Mr. Saad Tariq Siddiqi, & other officials & members participated in the Dinner the honorable Guests Enjoyed the Dinner with listening the Cultural Pashtho Music & Jokes (free laughing). 27th May 6030hrs the honorable Guests departure to Islamabad by PIA.

CELEBRATION OF QUAID-E-AZAM YEAR 2001.

Chiltan Adventures Assciation Balochistan & Pakistan Cave Reasearh Sccociaoation has organised an international Unity Faith & Discipline Mountaineering & photographich camping expedition, Sponsered by Chritians Hospital Society, Dr. Holland's Hospitals , Pakistan Customs Sports Board Quetta. The International camp was organised at the base of Chltan Mountain Range, 19th , 20th May, 2001. In conection with to celebrate the Quaid-e-Azam (Fouder of Pakistan)year, 2001. 103 participants from CAAB / PCRA , visitors / offcials from the difrent NGO'S invited by Mr.Ash official of CHS Ballochistan, including some foreigners from different counrries has also particiapted on behalf of CHS in this International Camping.It may be reacalled that this expedition was the Pakistan's first expedition in which 103 participants participated from diffrent countries including Pakistan.

The representative of CAAB , PCRA Mr.Shahzad Khan visited Switzerland (10 july to 7th August 2001) to participate in the 2nd phase of Unity Faith & Discipline International camping , cave photographic exibution 2001 (Zurich) to celebrate the founder of Pakistan Mohammed Ali Jinnah Year 2001 , on the official invitation of Ms.Olivia Heussler, earlier she participated in the 1st phase of Unity Faith & Discipline International camping ,mountaineering and cave photographic expedition held under the banner of CAAB,PCRA & Christians Hospitial Society Balochitan , 2001 (Pakistan). It may be reacalled that this expedition was the Pakistan's first expedition in which 103 participants participated from diffrent countries including Pakistan.

Celebration of Independence day of Pakistan 14th Aug 2001 an Adventurer team of CAAB , PCRA hoisted the Natinal flag of Pakistan on the Heighest peak of Zarghoon Mountain.(the heighest peak in Balochistan)earlier Chief guest Minister Finance Balochistan Mr.Naeem Ahmed khan Advocate rended the National flag of Pakistan to the team leader for hoisting it on zarghoon mountain top in the see off ceromany, Earlier Mr. Hayatullah Khan Durrani founder of CAAB & PCRA introduced the team members and brief the honourable guest about the activities of CAAB & PCRA he also explained that in Pakistan CAAB is the founder of the tradidition of hoisting of Pakistan National Flag on mountain top.

Celebration of defence day of Pakistan 6th sep 2001 an adventurer team of CAAB , PCRA houisted the National flag of Pakistan on the Top of "Sangar" mountain of Khalifat mountain range in dist Ziarat.earlier Chief guest Minister sports Balochistan Mrs.Khoursheed Brocha rended the national flag to the team leader Mr.Samad Khan Ghilzai for hoisting it on "Sangar"Mountain top in the see off ceromany.
